"At 1 p.m. police received a call from Taco Bell reporting money missing from the till over November and December. The estimated amount was said to be at least $1,100.

Monday, December 25

"At 1:18 a.m. police responded to a man reportedly kicking a vehicle near 10th Street and Mankato Avenue. When an officer arrived, the man allegedly ran at him screaming and yelling, then grabbed another man standing nearby and began pulling him toward the vehicle. The officer ordered both men to the ground, but the first man, Michael John Verdick, 34, of Winona, refused to get on the ground. The officer then pointed his Tazer at Verdick, who then went to the ground. Police said that when Verdick was handcuffed, he fought and kicked, and then banged his head against the plexiglass barrier once inside the squad car. He was arrested on potential gross misdemeanor obstructing the legal process with force and misdemeanor obstructing the legal process.

"At 10:17 a.m. police arrested Glen Allan Scharmach, 44, of Rushford, on suspected fifth degree domestic assault near 10th and Laird streets.
