Ardelle L. Pfaff, age 88, of Winona, died Tuesday, January 6, 2009, at Community Memorial Hospital, Winona.
Ardelle Louise was born October 2, 1920, in Hankinson, ND, to Henry and Rose Foeltz. During the depression, she lived on the family farm in North Dakota. She graduated from Central High School, St. Paul, MN, and in December 1942 she married Norman Pfaff in St. Paul and he preceded her in death.
Ardelle and Norman traveled around the United States due to his military duties. During Norman’s post-military work career, they lived a year in Argentina and a year in Venezuela. She is a member of Georgetown Lutheran Church, Balsam Lake, WI.
Ardelle is survived by two children: Bill (Leslie) Pfaff, Ettrick, WI, and Kathy (Fred) Pike, Callahan, FL, two grandchildren: David (Stefanie) Pfaff and Jeanne (Ron) Franz; six great-grandchildren: Adam, Sam, William and Luke Pfaff, and Justin and Natalya Franz.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister, Ruth Johnson.
Services to remember Ardelle will be 11:30 AM Saturday, January 10, 2009, at Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home with Rev. Liz Albertson officiating. Interment will be at Georgetown Lutheran Cemetery, Balsam Lake, WI.
Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
