Erdmann, Mildred L.

(1/7/2009)

Mildred L. Erdmann, 91, of Lewiston, died Saturday, January 3, 2009, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in LaCrosse, WI.

Mildred was born on March 23, 1917, in Hart Township to Elmer and Ella (Wenzel) Ronnenberg Sr. She married Ervin Erdmann on June 10, 1937, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wilson. Together they farmed in the area for many years until Ervin’s death November 13, 1962. Millie then moved to Lewiston and worked for Camera Art for several years. She was a homemaker, an expert gardener, avid Twins and Vikings fan, and she loved to work, cook and read. She moved to the Lewiston Villa where she spent her days reading and visiting with family and friends. Millie was a “spark” in everyone’s life and she will be dearly missed.

She is survived by three children: Wayne Erdmann of Eagan, MN, Dale (Lyndel) Erdmann of Hawaii, and Cheryl (Gerald) Larson of Winona, MN, 20 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Rita Erdmann of Rollingstone, MN, three brothers: Elmer (Esther) Ronnenberg Jr., Willard (Janet) Ronnenberg, and Roger (Luanne) Ronnenberg, all of Rushford, MN, one sister, Betty Ann (Roger) Brand of Rochester, MN, and many nieces and nephews.

Millie is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ervin, and two sons, Ron and Darwin Erdmann.

The funeral service for Mildred was January 6, 2009, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lewiston with the Reverends David A. Fischer and Michael A. Lindemann officiating. Burial was at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Wilson following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church and Lewiston Villa.
