Winona Police

Tuesday, January 6

• At 3:36 am: Police responded to a call from a delivery person that a window was broken out at Ziebells 178 East Second Street. Twenty-two dollars in rolled change had been stolen and a cooler was entered but nothing else was taken.

Tuesday, January 6

• At 5:15 pm: Police cited Karl James Gores, 18, of Rochester, for the theft of a math textbook valued at $138.65 from the Saint Mary’s bookstore.

Wednesday, January 7

• At 3:30 pm: Police arrested Shawn Joeseph Morreale, 55, of Winona, for a violation of a no contact order. Police removed him from the victim’s residence on the 700th block of East Eighth Street.

• At 3:59 pm: Stacey Michelle Stanek, 26, of Winona, violated a school bus stop arm on the 100th block of West Fifth Street. The citation is being sent via mail.

Friday, January 9

• At 12:37 am: Police observed and recognized Ryan Thomas Plachecki, 23, of Winona, outside of Brothers Bar, 129 West Third Steet. Plachecki had a blood alcohol content of .11 percent and was charged with probation violation.

Friday, January 9

• At 1:18 am: Police observed the expired registration of a motor vehcle driven by Patrick John Stanton, 24, of Winona, on Main Street. Officers pulled over Stanton in Municipal Lot 14 and he was also charged with fourth degree driving under the influence after failing a preliminary breath test with a blood alcohol content measured at .14 percent.

Tuesday, January 6

• At 5:31 pm: Lewiston Police attempted to pull over Allen Lee Oesterich, 19, for speeding and having a head light out. Oesterich led police into Winona on Highway 14 where attempts were made to stop him, including using stop sticks on Highway 14 just before Highway 61. When he turned right on to Highway 61, a Goodview Police crusier used a ramming maneuver to stop the car. Oesterich was charged with fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle, careless driving, and driving after suspension for the incident.
