At 2:25 a.m. deputies arrested Brian Robert Daley, 46, of Lewiston, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated after he was pulled over near WIlliams and Fremont streets in Lewiston. According to the report, a deputy conducting a radar scan near the intersection observed a pick-up truck turn left on to Highway 14 without stopping at a stop sign. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Daley, and detected the odor of alcohol. The deputy administered a preliminary breath test and Daley had a blood alcohol content of .10 percent.
At 4:01 p.m. deputies arrested Joshua Charles Mollert, 36, of St. Charles, for fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance after law enforcement was called to his residence to conduct a welfare check. According to the report, deputies found a plastic bag containing 6.2 grams of Alpha-PVP in his residence. Mollert was taken into custody and remains in the Winona County Jail.
At 10:21 p.m. deputies arrested Steve Arnold Burt, 56, of Utica, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated after he was pulled over on County Road 23 south of Altura. According to the report, a deputy in the area observed a vehicle drifting between lanes and crossing the centerline. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Burt, and detected the odor of alcohol. The deputy administered a preliminary breath test. Burt had a blood alcohol content of .08 percent.
At 11 p.m. deputies arrested Marvin Wilbert Hodge, 62, of Winona, for fourth degree driving while intoxicated after he was pulled over for failing to adequately remove snow from all windows of his vehicle. When the deputy made contact with Hodge, he detected the odor of alcohol. The deputy administered a preliminary breath test and Hodge had a blood alcohol content of .16 percent.
Tuesday, Dec. 25
At 8:16 p.m. police responded to a two-vehicle accident at Broadway and Main Street. According to the report, Lois V. Rogers, 76, of Unity, Wis., was northbound on Main Street when she ran a red light, and collided with Brianna Mary Bork, 21, of Cochrane, Wis., who was westbound on Broadway. Police made contact with Rogers who admitted to running the red light. Bork was transported to Winona Health via ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.
Sunday, Dec. 30
At 3:44 p.m. police ticketed Caleb Daniel Stoner, 18, of Winona, for possession of a small amount of marijuana after it was reported that Stoner had the drug at his residence in the 250 block of East Broadway. According to the report, police arrived and searched Stoner’s room. They confiscated a bag of a green, leafy substance that field-tested positive for marijuana and a smoking pipe with residue.
