Community invited to retirement open house on Sunday, January 11
Dennis Nolan, MD, Winona Health Internal Medicine physician, will retire on December 31, after 37 years of caring for the Winona community.
To honor and celebrate Dr. Nolan’s years of service, Winona Health invites community members to a retirement open house Sunday, January 11, from 1 to 3 p.m. on the clinic first floor at 859 Mankato Avenue in Winona.
“Dr. Nolan has been tireless in his service,” said Rachelle Schultz, Winona Health president and CEO. “He will be deeply missed by his patients, his colleagues and all of us at Winona Health.”
In his letter of intent to retire, Dr. Nolan noted that even in the new age of medical care, with advances in electronic medical records and technology, “process and form will never overtake the importance of compassionate care, professional competence and trusting relationships based on honesty and integrity between patients, caregivers and administrators. These are qualities I have witnessed in the people I have worked with. This is who we are and what we do.”
Dr. Nolan said that he is “looking forward to transitioning to the next chapter and spending more time with my wife and family.”
The community is invited to the celebration on Sunday, January 11, from 1 to 3 p.m. In addition, to honor Nolan’s years of service, Winona Heath has made a gift to the Winona Health Foundation.
Those wishing to send a message to Dr. Nolan regarding his retirement through the Winona Health website can so at www.winonahealth.org/thanks.
