Employers and human resources professionals are invited to this program featuring a panel of experts sharing information about popular employee wellness topics: Smoking cessation with Lynn Sprain, cardiac rehabilitation; employee wellness programs with Anna Hudson, wellness specialist; injury prevention with Crystal Stickler, athletic trainer; employee stress with Ann MacDonald, director of training and development; interpersonal conflicts in the workplace with Kathy Wade, chief human resources officer. Casual for a Cause
Friday, April 28. On the last Friday of each month, the Winona Health Foundation invites all Winona Health staff to wear jeans or team jerseys and give to the Winona Health Foundation for a project or event designed to benefit patients, residents, families and visitors. Join Winona Health, the Winona Police Department, Winona County Community Health, and Dahl Automotive for free child car seat inspections. While walk-ins are welcome, appointments are appreciated due to the time required to conduct car seat inspections. Those with questions may call 507-457-4161.
Pillowcase sewing bee
Monday, April 29, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Winona Health, BA Miller Auditorium, hospital third floor, 855 Mankato Avenue.
Colorful, hand-crafted pillowcases are bringing smiles to surgery patients at Winona Health. Volunteers are invited to join the “sewing bee” to cut material, iron, fold, and sew for an hour or two — or all day. If you have questions about the sewing day, email email@example.com. Donations are also accepted for the sewing fund through the Winona Health Foundation. Those with questions may call 507-474-3328.
