Shirley Jean (Klos) Pfremmer, age 92, died on April 19, 2017, in Winona, Minn. She was born on June 6, 1924, to Carl and Julia (Darr) Klos, in Chillicothe, Mo. She attended Chillicothe High School and graduated from Chillicothe Business College. After graduating, she worked in Kansas City, Kan., as a secretary at North American Aviation.
On October 3, 1944, she married George Harold Pfremmer in Olathe, Kan. They had five children.
After the death of George in 1969, she completed nursing training and worked for 30 years at Community Memorial Hospital in Winona as a licensed practical nurse (LPN).
She is survived by five children, Greg Pfremmer, David Pfremmer (Debbie), Kathy Bynum (Marcus), Betty Blakely, Lori Jean Bambenek; 10 grandchildren, Allison, Greg Jr., James, Laura, Shawn, Ian, Natasha, Miranda, Brandon, Gary; and nine great-grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Tommy, Madison, Owen, Isolde, Ava, Conner, and Joel.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a. m. on Monday, May 15, 2017, at Watkins Manor, 175 East Wabasha Street, Winona, Minn.
