Bluff Country Co-op invites the community to see its newly expanded and remodeled store at a grand opening celebration on Saturday, December 9, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The celebration will feature hundreds of dollars in food giveaways, big sales in every department, samples by local farmers and producers, kids’ activities, cooking demonstrations, live music from some of the store’s owners, free recipes and more.
The grand opening marks the end of an expansion project that began last spring and doubled the size of the store. A new fresh meat and seafood department, Winona’s only juice bar, and a hot bar with made-from-scratch entrees are just a few of the features of the new store.
“As a co-op, we’re very committed to our community, so we’re excited to show the community our new store, and share all the ways we hope to serve the community,” said General Manager Dawn Schreiber.
The grand opening will be held during normal business hours, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., on Saturday, December 9. The event is free-of-charge and all are invited to attend.
Bluff Country is Winona’s only community-owned, cooperatively-run grocery store and kitchen. It has been providing fresh, local, and organic foods to the community since 1972.
