Casting call: Winona Health Volunteers to present ‘USO Salute to the Troops’

The Winona Health Volunteers invite you to be a part of its “USO Salute to the Troops” show. Come to meet the director, Jim Vrchota, and learn about the show at open auditions on Tuesday, January 16, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Winona Health, hospital third floor, 855 Mankato Avenue, Winona.

“USO Salute to the Troops” takes audiences back to the days of Bob Hope’s USO variety shows, with singing, dancing and comedy skits. Actors and singers are needed to play Bob Hope, the Andrews Sisters, Frank Sinatra, Lucille Ball and a wide variety of roles made famous in USO shows from World War II, Korea and Vietnam.

The show is a fundraiser for the Winona Health Volunteers, who will use the proceeds for health care projects to benefit the patients and residents of Winona Health. Four performances will be held from April 12 through 14.
