Living Well with Chronic Conditions is a free workshop series that will be offered on the Winona State University (WSU) campus this summer. This evidence-based, national program is a group workshop series that meets two hours each week for six weeks and is designed to increase self-management skills and address specific concerns and goals for people with ongoing health problems. Topics addressed include problem solving, decision making, exercise, healthy eating, managing pain, communication strategies, dealing with emotions, mindfulness, breathing techniques, and the mind-body connection. This workshop series is led by trained facilitators Roberta Bumann, DNP, RN, and professor emerita in nursing; Stephanie Shaw, WSU graduate; and Megan Moore, WSU student. The workshop series is free and will be held on Mondays, 5:30-7:30 p.m., from June 4 to July 9 in the Integrated Wellness Complex, room 145. Space is limited and registration is required.
