WPD invites public to view large amount of stolen property

You must have police report on file to view the goods

The Winona Police Department is currently in possession of a large quantity of potentially stolen property. If you had items stolen from a garage, shed, or outbuilding located on your property and you have not reported it, please contact your local law enforcement agency. These thefts would’ve taken place between January 1, 2017, and March 31, 2018.

A public viewing, for those who have filed a police report only, will be held in the old JC Penny’s building located at 1858 Service Drive in Winona (at the intersection of highways 14 and 61). The entrance will be on the east side of the building off Pelzer Street. No appointment is necessary, but access will only be granted to those who have a report on file and produce a valid ID. Anyone coming to view items who has a report on file with an agency outside Winona County must also provide the police report from their local law enforcement agency, including a list of the items reported missing.
