Certified Physician Assistant Jessica Buckbee has joined the Winona Health staff and is caring for patients of all ages in Urgent Care on the clinic first floor at Winona Health, 855 Mankato Avenue in Winona.
“Winona is a beautiful community and I love the rural aspect of health care and an organization this size,” said Buckbee. “I feel like there is more of an opportunity to really get to know our patients.”
Buckbee is no stranger to Winona Health. While earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in biology at Saint Mary’s University in Winona, she earned her nursing assistant certification and cared for residents at Lake Winona Manor. “I’m excited to re-join Winona Health as a physician assistant,” she added.
Buckbee earned her Master of Medical Science in physician assistant studies at the Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Ill. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Buckbee grew up on a dairy farm near Lewiston and is happy to be back in the area. In her free time, she enjoys time with friends and family, hiking, canoeing and other outdoor activities.
