The Winona Health physical therapy team is offering a new program, Strong Mommas, open to all women who are pregnant regardless of where they receive prenatal care.
The program is a mother’s guide to staying fit during pregnancy, preparing the body for childbirth and preventing pain.
“We are excited to provide information and share techniques that will help women feel more confident, safe and healthy throughout their pregnancy and after,” said Leah Winecke, DPT, who, along with Cindy Teske, PT, will lead the class.
Strong Mommas is a 90-minute program offered from 6-7:30 p.m., three times a year. 2019 program options are on Tuesday, March 19; Tuesday, June 18; and Tuesday, September 17.
The class is held on the third floor of the clinic at Winona Health. Participants are asked to bring a yoga mat if they have one.
The cost is $10 per class. Space is limited, so registration is required. To register, call the Winona Health Women’s Health Clinic at 507-457-7701.
