Lisa Martinson, 40, of St. Charles, formerly of Clearbrook, Minn., received her angel wings on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at her home in Leonard, Minn.
Lisa was born on November 20, 1978, in Grand Forks, N.D., the daughter of David and Pauline (Ehlers) Miller. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Leonard. Lisa graduated from Clearbrook-Gonvick High School with the class of 1997. In 2003, she graduated from Saint Catherine’s in St. Paul, Minn. Lisa married the love of her life, Scott Martinson, on August 30, 2014, at the farm in Leonard. They lived in St. Charles and she worked for Crenlo as a supply chain analyst in Rochester, Minn.
Lisa enjoyed spending time with her husband and family, cooking, canning, baking, flower gardening, and playing games and cards. Last summer she took 65 items to the Winona County Fair, winning 44 blue ribbons, 12 red ribbons, two white ribbons, and was the overall sweepstakes winner in baking and canning. Lisa looked forward to November when she would come home for deer season. She was very active in 4-H. Formerly a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Leonard, Lisa was most recently a member of Faith Lutheran Church in St. Charles, where she played in the Bell Choir.
She is survived by her husband, Scott Martinson of St. Charles; aunts and uncles, Tammie and Fred Ehlers of Leonard, Sheryl and Wayne Ehlers of Leonard, Lois and David Sanders of Fosston, Minn., Earl Ehlers of Pinewoord, Minn., Patricia Bitker of Fosston, Rose and Don Amundson of Leonard, and Dorothy Schmidt of Bemidji, Minn; father- and mothers-in-law, Mike and Julie Martinson of St. Charles and Diane Martinson of Winona; sister-in-law, Kellie (Adrian) Torbenson of Lewiston; as well as many cousins.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, David and Pauline Miller; and grandparents, Albert and Inez Ehlers and Dale and Lois Miller.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Leonard at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Bob Kirchman officiating. A service will also be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Faith Evangelical Church in St. Charles with Pastor Waldeman Gies officiating. A lunch will follow. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at both churches.
