On Sunday, August 25, at 2 p.m. the annual worship service will be held at the Historic Church Foundation of Minnesota City, Baptist Ladies Aid. It is the oldest church in Winona County, having been established in 1852. The present building was built in 1875 and contains all the original church furnishings. Elder Neal Hunt will conduct the service.
Many improvements have been made to the building in the past few years, including a handicap entrance, new steps, railings, and landscaping.
The church is the headquarters of the Minnesota City Historical Association with a room to accommodate the archives and provide opportunities for historic research.
