Wild Wales Tours & Walkabouts will have a presentation at the Winona County History Center on Wednesday, November 20, from 7-9 p.m. It will feature tales from Wales and Newfoundland and a special guest from the National Library of Wales, Scott Lloyd, who will present on King Arthur place names in Wales.
Hywel “Taff” Roberts will present on Wild Wales Tours & Walkabouts trips this year to Wales and Newfoundland. This year was the first King Arthur Walkabout and Scott Lloyd, who presented to the group in North Wales, will be coming over to present to the public on the legendary Arthur!
Lloyd works for the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments in Wales at the National Library of Wales. He has served on the committee of the British Branch of the International Arthurian Society. In his recent book “The Arthurian Place Names of Wales” he traces associations back to their original sources for more than 150 sites in Wales, dating back from the 9th century. Scott lives near Aberystwyth in Mid Wales.
Tea, coffee and Welsh cakes will be served. Admission is $7 or $3 for students.
