Winona Police

Tuesday, January 14

• At 7:31 a.m. officers ticketed Murry Bonzelle Walker, 37, of Winona, with retail theft of gasoline at the Kwik Trip on Broadway and Mankato Avenue.

• At 12:24 p.m. officers ticketed Terry White, 38, of Winona, with driving after cancellation inimical to public safety on the 600 block of East Fifth Street.

• At 4:08 p.m. a Winona woman reported that her purse was stolen from a shopping cart in a parking lot cart corral at Walmart. An employee reportedly later found her purse in a garbage can. Her credit cards and money were missing from her purse, according to the report. She also was notified that several fraudulent charges had been made using her credit cards.

Thursday, January 16

• At 9:03 a.m. officers ticketed a 17-year-old Winona boy with possession of drug paraphernalia. According to the report, he fled officers seeking him on a warrant and left behind a backpack containing a marijuana grinder, a jar with what appeared to be marijuana residue, a scale, and two glass pipes at Minnesota State College Southeast.

• At 9:43 a.m. a Winona woman reported that the vinyl siding on the front of her residence was broken on the 500 block of East Third Street. According to the report, something appears to have been thrown at the siding.

• At 2:41 p.m. officers ticketed Tara Lynn Brown, 36, of Winona, with trespassing at Menards. Officers mailed the ticket to Brown.

• At 4:35 p.m. a woman reported that some prescription medications were stolen on the 700 block of East 12th Street.

• At 11:26 p.m. a Winona man reported that his vehicle was moved. According to the report, the vehicle was taken from near Winona Health and found in the East End of Winona.

Tuesday, January 14

• At 12:16 p.m. deputies arrested Katherine Ryan Corcoran, 35, of Rollingstone, and referred her to the county attorney for a potential charge of fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance. Deputies reportedly found 2.25 grams of methamphetamine and 8.5 grams of marijuana at her residence in Rollingstone.

Thursday, January 16

• At 4:55 p.m. deputies arrested Colin David Smidt, 18, of Sioux Falls, S.D., and referred him to the county attorney for potential charges of possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to the report, Smidt was a passenger in a vehicle stopped near mile marker 271 on I-90.

• At 9:47 p.m. deputies arrested Dominic Joseph Stanley, 21, of Winona, and referred him to the county attorney for potential charges of fifth-degree possession of marijuana, fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of over 1.4 grams of marijuana in a motor vehicle, driving after revocation, and improper change of course. According to the report, deputies observed a vehicle driven by Stanley weaving near Hidden Valley Trailer Court. When deputies pulled over Stanley, they reportedly noticed an odor of marijuana and found roller papers, a scale that field-tested positive for methamphetamine, and 42 grams of a green, leafy substance that field-tested positive for marijuana on his person.
