Winona Police 

Tuesday, July 14

• At 2:15 p.m. officers ticketed Lindsey Brianne Sommer, 36, of Winona, with theft by shoplifting at Target. Sommer subsequently received a trespass notice, according to the report. 

Wednesday, July 15

• At 7:01 a.m. officers received a report that a wacker plate was stolen from the construction site of the new ALDI. 

• At 12:30 p.m. a man reported that someone stole tools from a garage on the 700 block of East Broadway. 

• At 4:06 p.m. a woman reported that a laptop was stolen from a porch on the 1050 block of West Seventh Street. 

Thursday, July 16

•  At 3:16 p.m. a man reported that his vehicle had been scratched sometime overnight while parked on the street on the 150 block of West Broadway.

•  At 7:02 p.m. a woman reported the theft of a Summit brand kayak from a residence on the 450 block of West Fifth Street.

Friday, July 17

• At 9:29 a.m. a man reported that someone shot a BB gun at a window on the 950 block of West Fifth Street, resulting in the window have two BB holes. 

• At 11:48 a.m. officers ticketed Kilyauna Mae Bush, 18, of La Crosse, Wis., with theft by shoplifting at Walmart. 

• At 3:26 p.m. a woman reported that someone entered detached garage on the 650 block of East Third Street and took pots, pans, decoration and luggage. 

• At 5:04 p.m. a woman reported that a catalytic converter was stolen on the 100 block of West Seventh Street. 

• At 7:15 p.m. officers arrested Rayshun Boler, 39, of Winona, and referred him to the county attorney for potential charges of second-degree test refusal, driving after cancellation inimical to public safety and fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance after recognizing him as someone driving without a license on the 350 block of East Sarnia Street. 

Saturday, July 18

• At 12:54 a.m. officers arrested Owen Joseph Senjem, 19, of Stewartville, Minn., and referred him to the county attorney for a potential charge of fourth-degree driving while intoxicated after pulling him over for disobeying a traffic signal and having an object hanging in vehicle on Seventh and Franklin streets. A breath test reportedly measured his blood-alcohol content at 0.11 percent. 

• At 1:42 p.m. officers arrested Brently Steven Johnson, 57, of Winona, and referred him to the county attorney for potential charges of third-degree burglary, criminal damage to property, shoplifting and trespassing at Walmart. Johnson reportedly took a BB gun from a display case, damaging the case in the process, then displayed it while standing by propane tanks outside the store. 

Sunday, July 19

• At 6:41 a.m. officers arrested Brently Steven Johnson, 57, of Winona, and referred him to the county attorney for potential charges of credit card fraud and ineligible possession of ammunition at the Sinclair on Mankato Avenue. 

Monday, July 20

• At 11:02 a.m. a Hy-Vee employee reported that an unknown person shoplifted. 

• At 11:51 a.m. officers ticketed Timothy Paul Schmalenberg, 55, of Winona, with theft by shoplifting at Hy-Vee. 

• At 5:04 p.m. officers received a report that three unknown women shoplifted at Sally Beauty. 

• At 5:46 p.m. officers received a report that three unknown women shoplifted at Target. 

 

Winona County

Thursday, July 16

• At 11:24 p.m. deputies pursued a vehicle driven by Timothy Richard Bollenbaugh, 50, of West Des Moines, Iowa, and ultimately arrested him and referred him for potential charges of fleeing the police in a motor vehicle and speeding. According to the sheriff, deputies tried to pull Bollenbaugh over for speeding near Highway 61 and Blackhorse Road in Homer, but he allegedly fled. Deputies and the Winona Police Department called off the chase as Bollenbaugh reportedly entered the city of Winona, but police officers later located Bollenbaugh and deputies arrested him, according to the report.

Friday, July 17

• At 1:13 a.m. deputies arrested Maxwell Leonard Brekke, 19, of Mantorville, Minn., on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and ticketed him for underage consumption after the Lewiston Police Department stopped his vehicle near County Road 33 and Neumann Drive south of Altura, according to police. Deputies reported Brekke allegedly had bloodshot and watery eyes and slurred speech. A passenger in the car, a 16-year old girl from Rochester, Minn., was ticketed for underage consumption of alcohol, according to the report.

Sunday, July 19

• At 7:39 a.m. deputies arrested Jordan Lee Fortsch, 28, of Lewiston, and referred him to the county attorney for potential charges of felony theft and failure to report a motor vehicle accident. Fortsch allegedly stole a UTV on the 19000 block of County Road 18, and a crash then occurred near that site. 

Monday, July 20

• At 10:51 a.m. deputies arrested Bradley Arnold Quimby, 51, of Goodview, and referred him to the county attorney for potential charges of third and fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance. While arresting Quimby on felony warrants on the 100 block of Main Street in Rollingstone, deputies reportedly found 22 grams of methamphetamine and three pills of a Schedule Four substance in his vehicle. 

• At 8:15 p.m. deputies received a report that a porta potty was burned at the site of the former Rollingstone Elementary. Anyone with information may call the Winona County Sheriff’s Office at 507-457-6368.

 

Buffalo County 

Friday, July 17

• At about 8:03 p.m. an Englewood, Fla., man was taken by helicopter to Gundersen Health Systems in La Crosse, Wis., for the treatment of severe injuries after being involved in a motorcycle crash in the Town of Waumandee. According to the report, the man was thrown from a motorcycle he was riding after a deer ran into its side.
