Winona Police 

Tuesday, October 6

•    At 7:35 p.m. officers cited Andrew Olaf Swanson, 39, of Dakota, with misdemeanor theft. According to the report, he stole several bottles of liquor from MGM Wine and Spirits. 

Wednesday, October 7

•    At 11:34 a.m. officers arrested Kirk Patrick Peterson, 58, of Winona, on suspicion of theft. He reportedly stole items from a business on the 100 block of East Second Street and attempted to sell them on Facebook. 

Thursday, October 8

•    At 1:05 a.m. officers arrested Cienna Lea Thorne, 27, of Winona, and referred her to the county attorney for a potential charge of third-degree driving while intoxicated. Officers initially pulled her over for not using a turn signal and driving over the center line on Broadway and Main Street, according to the report. A breath test reportedly measured her blood-alcohol content at 0.17 percent. 

•    At 5:45 p.m. officers arrested Pal James Dobuol, 27, of Winona, on a warrant and cited him with providing a false name to officers on 11th and Lafayette streets. 

Saturday, October 10

•    At 1:54 a.m. officers cited Caleb Christian Bahr, 18, of St. Charles, with having a loud party on the 100 block of West Third Street. According to the report, about 10 people were at the party, and COVID-19 guidelines were not being adhered to. 

•    At 8:10 a.m. officers arrested Timothy John Holzer, 47, of Winona, and referred him to the county attorney for potential charges of fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance and driving after revocation on Sarnia and Johnson streets. Officers reportedly found a container and a bag with a substance that tested positive for cocaine, as well as hypodermic needles, in his vehicle. 

•    At 10:30 p.m. officers arrested Matthew Ryan Nguyen, 35, of Winona, at a bar in the 700 block block of East Fifth Street and referred him to the county attorney for a potential charge of making terroristic threats after he allegedly threatened to get a gun and shoot people at the bar. 

Sunday, October 11

•    At 12:14 a.m. officers cited Aaron Christian Smith, 18, of Rolingstone, and Dylan Thomas Waldera, 18, of Winona, with having a loud party on the 600 block of Lafayette Street. According to the report, about 50 people were at the party, with some adhering to COVID-19 guidelines and others not doing so. 

•    At 3:56 p.m. officers cited Jonathan Abuel-Melendez Arroyo, 22, of Winona, with driving after revocation, not having proof of insurance and failing to stop at a stop sign. While operating a vehicle going northbound on Winona Street, he allegedly collided with a vehicle going eastbound on Fifth Street and caused the eastbound vehicle to tip onto its roof. A passenger in his vehicle was taken to Winona Health for the treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to the report. The driver in the eastbound vehicle did not report any injuries, according to the report. 

•    At 11:16 p.m. officers arrested Kady Morgan Krieger, 21, of Lakeville, Minn., and referred her to the county attorney for a potential charge of third-degree driving while intoxicated. A breath test reportedly measured her blood-alcohol at 0.16 percent. 

 

Winona County 

Saturday, October 10

•    At 8:52 p.m. deputies arrested Marie Lynn Faeth, 35, of Dakota, and referred her to the county attorney for potential charges of gross-misdemeanor driving while intoxicated and obstructing the legal process in Dakota. 

•    At 10:45 p.m. deputies arrested Joseph David Michalowski, 25, of Altura, and referred him to the county attorney for potential charges of third-degree assault, fifth-degree domestic assault and misdemeanor disorderly conduct after he allegedly knocked someone’s teeth out in Utica. 

•    At 11:31 p.m. deputies arrested Corey Edward Haaek, 37, of Altura, and referred him to the county attorney for a potential charge of gross-misdemeanor driving while intoxicated. He was initially pulled over for driving over the centerline in Elba, according to the report. A breath test reportedly measured his blood-alcohol content at 0.29 percent. 

Sunday, October 11

•    At 2:29 a.m. deputies arrested Barlow Luther Wooten, 54, of Glasgow, Kentucky, and referred him to the county attorney for potential charges of misdemeanor driving while intoxicated and gross-misdemeanor test refusal after receiving a report of a vehicle allegedly driving the wrong way on Highway 61. 

Monday, October 12

•    At 7:48 p.m. deputies arrested Brad William Underhill, 43, of La Crescent, Minn., on a warrant and referred him to the county attorney for a potential charge of fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance after reportedly finding methamphetamine and a methamphetamine pipe on his person on Dickson Drive. 

 

Buffalo County

Saturday, October 10

•    At 2:34 p.m. a 41-year-old Eau Claire, Wis., man was transported by helicopter for the treatment of serious injuries and a 38-year-old Eau Claire, Wis., woman sustained minor injuries about being involved in a motorcycle crash on Lower Eagle Valley Road in the Town of Milton. 

•    At 5:24 p.m. a 64-year-old Buffalo City man was transported by helicopter for the treatment of serious injuries and a 51-year-old Alma man was transported by ambulance for the treatment of minor injuries after being involved in a crash between two motorcycles in Fountain City on Highway 35. 

 

Trempealeau County

Monday, October 12

•    At 4:26 p.m. deputies received a report of a three-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 53 near County Road D in the Village of Ettrick. A vehicle struck the rear end of another vehicle, causing the struck vehicle to go into the other lane and be struck by another vehicle, according to the report. No life-threatening injuries were reported.
