Driven to Give Hope to raise funds for Hope Harbor Winona

Exciting test drive fundraising event will generate much-needed funds for Hope Harbor

Over the past few years, Ford dealerships across the country have collaborated with the Ford Motor Company to support the Driven to Give program, a series of events designed to help raise much needed funding for local community groups. To date, Ford dealerships and local communities have helped raise more than $8 million for educational and charitable organizations thanks to their hard work and partnership with the Driven to Give program.

Sugar Loaf is bringing Ford’s Driven to Give program to the Winona community in an effort to raise up to $8,000 for Hope Harbor-Winona. Hope Harbor is a residential home for at-risk girls, ages 12-17, in Winona. “So many people turned out to support our event last year, I’m thrilled that we can partner with Sugar Loaf Ford this year to help raise funds for Hope Harbor,” said Mary Meyer, site director.

For every person who takes the wheel and test-drives an eligible Ford vehicle at Winona Mall, 1213 Gilmore Avenue, on August 25, Ford will donate $20 to Hope Harbor-Winona. There is no pressure and no obligation, but you do have to be at least 18 years of age to test-drive the vehicles.

“We know funding for community programs is hard to come by, and we want to do our part to help make sure these programs remain available,” said Sherry Hovell at Sugar Loaf Ford. “We’re excited to raise money for Hope Harbor-Winona.”

The NP Community will also be available on site with a truck to accept any gently used clothing and household items to help raise more funds for Hope Harbor. Visit the Facebook page for more details.

To participate in this exciting event and get behind the wheel of your favorite Ford vehicle, please visit the Winona Mall between 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2018. A pancake breakfast from 8:30-11 a.m. and burger baskets from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. will also be served. Meal tickets are $8 each and may be purchased in advance at HyVee or Midtown Foods or at the tent.
