European-style holiday market coming to Winona!
The city of Winona, the Main Street Program, WINONArts, and Winona entrepreneur Alison Bettin of Tiny Spoons are teaming together to bring a new holiday tradition to Winona, the Winona Holiday Market, on Saturday, December 15, from 12-8 p.m. and on Sunday, December the 16, from 12-6 p.m. on the Levee Park Plaza and Patio.
Like the wonderful European- and metropolitan-style Christmas markets in major cities, the Winona Holiday Market will feature over 25 one-of-a-kind artisan vendors from all over the region, each with a tempting stocking stuffer or unique gift item sure to make your friends and family thrilled to open on that special day. From exquisite holiday baked goods to handmade clothing to ornaments to fine jewelry the Winona Holiday Market brings “shop local” and to the great outdoors.
And speaking of outdoors, the market will also be the kickoff of Let’s Levee: Winter Edition, with food trucks, hot beverages, mulled wines, cocoa, and the grand opening of the newest park and recreation feature in Winona, the Levee Park ice skating rink. The rink will be open throughout the winter season, weather-permitting, and if all goes well will have its initial skate during the market. Skating will be on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to space on the ice, and free-of-charge. Bring your own skates, please.
What better time to come to Winona, share the season with family and friends, and celebrate the community during the height of the holiday season — and grab some wonderful gifts too! Winona Holiday Market 2018 will be a picture-postcard way to spend your weekend on the banks of the Mississippi River.
