BSM, CAE present Bach’s ‘St. John Passion’

The Bach Society of Minnesota (BSM) and Rochester-based Choral Arts Ensemble (CAE) will present Bach’s poignant and pathos-filled “St. John Passion” on Sunday, March 17, at 3 p.m. at Central Lutheran Church, 259 West Seventh Street in Winona.

BSM Artistic Director Matthias Maute leads the orchestra with the inspiring voices of CAE and artistic director Rick Kvam. Soloists include Winona’s own Alan Dunbar, bass. There will be an audience participation aspect, when patrons can sing along for Chorale No. 11, 22, and 28. To participate, arrive at 2:30 p.m.; a short rehearsal with Maute will be held prior to the start of the performance. All are welcomed to take part!
