Tuesday, October 31


• At 8:51 a.m. an adult male reported the theft of $500 in cash from his residence on the 150 block of East Seventh Street.
• At 5:05 p.m. officers cited Benjamin James Rotering, 30, with trespassing at Midtown Foods.

Wednesday, Nov. 1

• At 12:06 a.m. officers cited Paul Joseph Hansen, 20, of Prescott, Wis., with third-degree driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on Main and Fifth streets. His blood-alcohol content was reported at .17 percent. His passenger, Nicholas Edward Zarembinski, 20, of Winona, was cited with underage consumption of alcohol.
• At 12:59 a.m. a resident reported that someone entered his or her residence on the 550 block of Garfield Street and stole a Playstation 4, controllers, and three games with a total value of $300.
• At 6:32 a.m. officers took Dillon Joseph Hale, 29, of Winona, into custody for theft of a motor vehicle and driving after suspension after officers allegedly observed him driving a vehicle 200 block of East Fourth Street. Officers said the vehicle had been reported stolen.
• At 4:17 p.m. an adult female reported the theft of an Xbox One, controller, and game from her residence on the 1700 block of West Seventh Street.
• At 4:22 p.m. a Kwik Trip employee at the store on Highway 61 and Highway 43 reported receiving a counterfeit $100 bill.

Thursday, November 2


• At 2:53 a.m. an adult female reported the theft of 20 hydrocodone pills from her purse on the 50 block of Links Lane.
• At 7:54 p.m. officers cited Andrew Timothy Gilthero, 32, of Rollingstone, with driving after suspension and failing to provide proof of insurance after he allegedly hit a vehicle driven by Charles David Sackett, 33, of Winona, while driving on Zumbro Street. Sackett was cited with failing to provide proof of insurance. There were no injuries.

Friday, November 3

• At 12:39 a.m. officers took Emily Lynn Kildow, 26, of Winona, into custody and referred her to the Winona County Attorney’s Office for charges of fifth-degree domestic assault causing fear and harm, making threats of violence, and second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon. Kildow allegedly got into an argument with an adult male, punched him in the chest, and raised a knife at him.

Tuesday, October 31

• At 11:51 a.m. an adult male reported that he lost $12,000 in a timeshare scam.

Thursday, November 2

• At 4:19 p.m. deputies referred Brandon Wayne Riggs, 24, of Goodview, to the Winona County Attorney’s Office for charges of violating a domestic abuse no contact order after he allegedly contacted the woman who holds the order while he was an inmate at the Winona County Jail.
• At 6:55 p.m. deputies cited Shawnee Lee Ewing, 38, of Winona, with possession of an open bottle of alcohol in a motor vehicle and possession of a small amount of marijuana while he was a passenger in a vehicle stopped on Riverview Drive and Prairie Island Road.
• At 9:41 p.m. an adult male reported that someone entered his garage in St. Charles and stole hunting gear.

Friday, November 3

• At 7:39 a.m. deputies cited John Reagan Soukup, 51, of Lewiston, with failing to stop and report a property-damage accident. Winona County Sheriff Ron Ganrude said the accident took place a week prior on Sandstone Drive in Utica. Ganrude said he didn’t know what happened regarding the accident, adding that no one was injured.
