Police: Winona man allegedly sold pills

A Winona man faces drug-related charges after Winona Police Department officers conducted a controlled buy of Clonazepam — a prescription medication used to treat seizures and anxiety.

The Winona County Attorney’s Office has filed charges of fifth-degree sale of a controlled substance — Clonazepam against Eric Lee Gardner, 40, of Winona. According to the criminal complaint, on June 27, officers conducted a controlled buy of Clonazepam in a vehicle outside a residence on the 150 block of High Forest Street. Gardner allegedly sold the police informant 10 Clonazepam pills.

If convicted, he could face up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
