Winona Police

Wednesday, August 1

·At 12:08 p.m. a man reported the theft of prescription medications from his mailbox on the 900 block of Gilmore Avenue.

·At 2:23 p.m. a man reported the theft of a UPS package from a residence on the 400 block of Liberty Street. The box contained a vinyl record and 100 plastic sleeves with a total value of $44.

·At 3:58 p.m. a local bank reported finding a counterfeit $100 bill in a bank deposit bag labeled “movie money.”

·At 5:33 p.m. police responded to a collision on the intersection of Frontenac Drive and Menard Road where a Winona man riding a longboard collided with a Dodge pickup as the driver made a right turn. There were no injuries, and the only damage was a broken longboard.

·At 6:04 p.m. a timber rattlesnake was reported on the 800 block of Edgewood Road. A snake handler was brought in to remove the animal.

Thursday, August 2

·At 5:30 a.m. police stopped a vehicle at Seventh Street and Kramer Drive after reports of an intoxicated driver in a Mcdonald’s drive-through. The driver, Demoine Solo Wade, 39, of Winona, reportedly showed signs of intoxication and was arrested for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated, driving after suspension and refusal to submit to alcohol testing.


·At 10:02 a.m. a package was reported stolen from a mailbox on the 150 block of Vine Street.

·At 3:39 p.m. police cited Lindsey Brianne Sommer, 34, of Winona, with theft by shoplifting from Shopko.

·At 9:03 p.m. Marvella Noel Louise Collins was cited with trespassing at Wal-Mart.

·At 8:13 p.m. Jacob Ryan Hokenstad, 23, of Winona, was cited with speeding at 73 mph in a 45-mph zone on Homer Road.
