Winona Police

Friday, August 10

·At 12:37 p.m. police cited Brian Keith Corbins Jr., 18, of Hales Corner, Wis., with alleged theft by shoplifting from Wal-Mart.

·At 3:29 p.m. police cited Stephanie Mary Curran, 44, of Winona, with theft by shoplifting from Heart’s Desire.

.·At 3:34 p.m. police cited Sarinna Marie Fisher, 25, of Rochester, Minn., with failure to yield the right-of-way after she collided with a Winona man riding a Honda motorcycle on East Broadway and Vine Street.

Saturday, August 11

·At 1:02 a.m. police cited Shelby Lynn Thingvold, 20, of Delano, Minn., with underaged consumption of alcohol.

·At 3:16 a.m. Bruce Alan Perron, 29, of Park Rapids, Minn., reportedly led police on a high-speed chase through downtown Winona. Perron eventually crashed into Lake Winona and attempted to swim away before he was picked up by a boat. He was released pending further investigation.

·At 1:12 p.m. a Chicago woman reported her purse went missing after she left it on a bench outside Perkins.

Sunday, August 12

·Police cited Nyapal Tongyik Minyoang, 22, of Winona, with falsely endorsing a check, offering a forged check, and receiving stolen property after she allegedly attempted to use a stolen check at Kwik Trip.

Monday, August 13

·At 1:56 a.m. police cited Scott Curtis Rinn, 50, of Winona, with fifth-degree possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic needle after he was reportedly found wandering around the third floor of East Lake Apartments. Rinn reportedly told officers he found the needle on a couch in the apartments and was looking for a place to dispose of it.

·At 7:53 a.m. a Winona man reported property damage to his mailbox on the 150 block of East Garvin Heights Road.

·At 3:58 p.m. police cited Shaily Jordan Hoppe, 20, of Elkhorn, Wis., with failure to yield the right-of-way after she allegedly drove her vehicle into a vehicle going northbound on Mankato Avenue.

·At 10:57 p.m. police cited Angelica Courtney Knutsen, 18, of Winona, with underaged consumption of alcohol on Latsch Island.

Winona County Sheriff

Sunday, August 12

·At 1:56 p.m. deputies responded to reports of a two-car collision at the Nodine Kwik Trip off County Road 12. The driver, Allison Maline Meyer, 19, of Dakota, Minn., was cited with inattentive driving. Meyer, her passenger and a passenger in the other vehicle were transported to Gundersen Health Systems for the treatment neck pain.

·At 11:09 p.m deputies rescued a stranded boater in a disabled pontoon in Pool 6 near Homer. The boat was towed to shore.

·At 1:56 p.m. deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Garvin Heights Road. The driver, Joshua Thomas Lee, 37, of Altura, was cited with possession of drug paraphernalia.

State Patrol

Saturday, August 11

·At 5:27 p.m. the State Patrol responded to a vehicle crash on Highway 61 and County Road 7 in Richmond Township. A vehicle driven by a 68-year-old Winona man collided with another vehicle while crossing the southbound lanes of Highway 61. The driver was transported to Gundersen Health Systems in La Crosse, Wis., for the treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
