Saturday, September 1

· At 2:32 p.m. a Winona man reported the theft of a black Trek bicycle with a value of $300 from Midtown Foods.

· At 8:38 p.m. a Winona man reported hearing multiple gunshots on Briarcombe Lane. Officers reportedly could not find the source of the shots.

Sunday, September 2

· At 1:08 a.m. police cited Tyler Matthew Zirpoli, 18, of Waukesha, Wis., with public urination near the intersection of Fourth and Lafayette streets.

· At 6:02 a.m. police referred Jesse Scott Steven, 41, of Winona, to the county attorney for charges of attempting to evade motor vehicle tax and possession of stolen property after he allegedly stole the tabs off a Winona Post vehicle.

· At 11:12 p.m. police ticketed Hailey Kristine McKinley, 18, of Rochester, Minn.; Jonecia Romonia Cook, 18, of Milwaukee, Wis.; and D’Angelo Daevontae Schumacher, 18, of Rochester Minn.; with underage consumption of alcohol after responding to a report of a party on the 650 block of Huff Street.

Monday, September 3

· At 4:05 p.m. a Winona woman reported that a sound bar had been stolen from her residence on the 100 block of East 10th Street.

Friday, August 31

· At 8:15 p.m. deputies assisted the Houston County Sheriff’s Department with a K-9 search for a burglary suspect near Ridgely Road.

Saturday, September 1

· At 1:08 a.m. deputies stopped a vehicle on Highway 61 near Bundy Boulevard for having an inoperable headlight. The driver, Mitchell Louis Seifert, 35, of Cochrane, Wis., reportedly showed signs of intoxication and was cited for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated with a blood-alcohol content measured at .15 percent.

·At 7:33 p.m. deputies responded to an accident on County Road 18 near Sanders Corners. The driver, Jeremiah Thomas Erving, 24, of Oconto, Wis., was cited with driving after suspension and careless driving.

· At 7:37 p.m. while deputies were responding to Erving’s crash, another vehicle reportedly went off the road in the same area. The driver, Peter Christian Lund, 52, of La Crescent, reportedly showed signs of intoxication and was arrested under suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance. He was also cited with third-degree possession of cocaine and third-degree test refusal.

Sunday, September 2

· At 1:12 a.m. deputies stopped a driver for speeding on County Road 17 near Signatures. The driver, Steven Paul Jones, 27, of Winona, reportedly showed signs of intoxication and was cited with fourth-degree driving while intoxicated with a blood-alcohol content measured at .14 percent.

· At 2:16 a.m. deputies stopped a driver for crossing the center and fog lines near the intersection of 11th and Johnson streets. The driver, Sean Patrick Williams, 24, of Menomonie, Wis., reportedly showed signs of intoxication and was cited with driving while intoxicated with a blood-alcohol content measured at .19 percent.

· At 12:02 p.m. a woman reported the theft of a Specialized Ruby Elite bicycle from her residence on Rolling Sunset Drive. The bike was reportedly stolen off the bike rack on a vehicle in the garage, and had a value of $3,600.

Monday, September 3


· At 1:46 a.m. deputies stopped a driver for having a loud exhaust and speeding. The driver, Eugene Ray Landsman, 35, of Winona, reportedly showed signs of intoxication and was cited with third-degree driving while intoxicated with a blood-alcohol content measured at .21 percent.

· At 7:15 p.m. a man reported that an uninhabited home on the 23000 block of Northland Road was forcefully entered.

· At 7:50 p.m. an Altura woman reported that someone had driven through her garden at a residence along County Road 37.
