Winona Police

Monday, December 10

• Police arrested Nicholas Daniel Glynn, 29, of Winona, and referred him to the county attorney for potential charges of domestic assault by strangulation and domestic assault causing fear after he allegedly choked a woman. He reportedly said he had consumed cocaine, marijuana, and alcohol before fighting with the woman, but he denied choking her.

Tuesday, December 11

• At 2:47 p.m. a Winona woman reported that the service door to her garage had been kicked open on the 500 block of Dacota Street. She reported that several hand tools had been taken from the property.

Wednesday, December 12

• Police arrested Elijah Matthew Fabian, 18, and referred him to the county attorney for a potential charge of fifth-degree possession of marijuana wax after he was reportedly seen smoking out of a window during an officer’s attempt to locate a subject with a felony warrant.

• At 1:09 a.m. police cited Madison Jean Schumm, 18, of Monticello, Minn., with fourth-degree driving while intoxicated after police pulled her over for driving with an object suspended from her rearview mirror. She reportedly had a blood-alcohol content measured at .11 percent.

Thursday, December 13

• At 2:35 a.m. police arrested Luke Thomas Hemker, 24, of Winona, and referred him to the county attorney for potential charges of third-degree test refusal and fourth-degree driving while intoxicated after he was reportedly found passed out in his car with the keys in the ignition on the 1300 block of Ridgewood Drive.

• At 1:31 p.m. an employee at Target reported that a man had left the store without paying for electronics with a value of approximately $50.

• At 10:44 p.m. a Winona woman reported the theft of two packages from the porch of her residence on the 1000 block of West Broadway.

• At 5:20 p.m. deputies responded to a report of a mattress on fire in the northbound lane of Highway 61 near Pickwick. The fire was put out by 5:52 p.m.

Wednesday, December 12

• At 5:59 p.m. officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 76 in Wiscoy Township. A Chevy Malibu was reportedly being driven northbound on Highway 76 when it collided with a deer, causing the driver to lose control and go sideways into the southbound lane, where the vehicle collided with a Toyota Camry. The driver and passenger in the Malibu and the driver of the Camry were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
