Winona Police

Friday, February 8

• At 1:46 p.m. police cited Teresa Mary Knopick, 75, of Winona, with theft by shoplifting from Fleet Farm.

• At 2:11 p.m. an employee from Gordy’s Standard on Huff Street reported the theft of a cell phone with a value of $1,000 from the counter.

• At 7:41 p.m. a Winona man reported the theft of a propane tank with a value of $90 from his residence on the 700 block of East Fourth Street.

• At 11:58 p.m. police cited Benjamin Michael Moffitt, 18, of Stillwater, Minn., with underaged consumption of alcohol and possession of a fake driver’s license on Third and Johnson streets.

Saturday, February 9

• At 8:18 p.m. a Winona man reported the theft of three televisions and a sword with a total value of $1,100 from his property on the 1000 block of East Eighth Street.

• At 10:39 p.m. police arrested Thomas Lee Talle, 35, of Mondovi, Wis., and referred him to the county attorney for a potential charge of third-degree driving while intoxicated after police stopped him for allegedly crossing the centerline on Broadway and Johnson Street. Talle had a reported blood-alcohol content measured at .17 percent.
Sunday, February 10

• At 12:53 a.m. police arrested Michael Thomas Breza, 27, of Winona, and referred him to the county attorney for potential charges of fourth-degree driving while intoxicated and driving after revocation after police stopped Breza for allegedly failing to signal a turn on Huff and Second streets. Breza had a reported blood-alcohol content measured at .13 percent.

Saturday, February 9

• At 8:50 p.m. deputies arrested Tina Mary Berg, 29, of Winona, and referred her to the county attorney for a potential charge of driving while intoxicated after deputies assisted Berg in an accident involving her vehicle on the 3400 block of County Road 12 in Houston. Berg had a reported blood-alcohol content measured at .22 percent.

Sunday, February 10

• At 12:34 a.m. deputies arrested Katherine Lynn Hintzman, 34, of Houston, Minn., and referred her to the county attorney for a potential charge of driving while intoxicated after deputies assisted Hintzman in an accident involving her vehicle on Highway 76 and Interstate 90. Hintzman had a reported blood-alcohol content measured at .20 percent.
