Winona Police 

Wednesday, April 22 

• At 2:14 a.m. officers arrested Sabrina Dominique Meyers, 23, of Winona, and referred her to the county attorney for a potential charge of gross-misdemeanor driving while intoxicated. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Meyers struck another vehicle that was parked on Fifth and McBride streets, and a breath test reportedly measured her blood-alcohol content at 0.23 percent. 

• At 9:50 a.m. a man reported that an outdoor gate hinge was damaged overnight on the 450 block of East Third Street.

• At 4:12 p.m. officers ticketed Craig Ray Hanville, 46, of Winona, with theft by shoplifting at Highway 61 Liquor. 

Thursday, April 23

• At 9:31 a.m. officers received a report that a pellet gun with a value of $100, a remote-controlled car with a value of $150, a soldering gun with a value of $50 and a pair of orange and green gloves with a value of $20 were stolen from Bauer Electric. 

• At 9:55 a.m. a woman reported that someone threw a rock through a front porch window on the 350 block of East Broadway. 

Friday, April 24 

• At 12:01 a.m. a man reported that a black Huffy mountain bike that was modified with an engine was stolen on the 350 block of Mankato Avenue.

• At 4:03 p.m. a woman reported that someone threw an object through the windshield of a parked car on the 550 block of Mankato Avenue. 

• At 6:50 p.m. officers ticketed Teal Megan Herold, 31, of La Crosse, Wis., and Zachary Paul Sander, 29, of La Crosse, Wis., with theft by shoplifting at Fleet Farm. Officers also ticketed Sander with possession of hypodermic needles. 

Saturday, April 25

• At 9:56 a.m. a man reported that at some point since fall 2019, a Chicago welder with a value of $400 to $500, a Peavey fiberglass amp with a value of $200 and a box containing miscellaneous Harley-Davidson parts were stolen from a storage unit on the 900 block of Frontenac Drive. 

• At 6:55 p.m. officers arrested William Curtis Perry, 28, of Winona, and referred him to the county attorney for potential charges of fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance and driving after revocation. According to the report, officers observed Perry speeding on Washington and Sarnia streets and recognized him as someone who had a revoked license. Officers reportedly found a baggy with a substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine in the vehicle driven by him. 

Monday, April 27

• At 1:14 a.m. officers arrested Emilio Ryan Martinez, 18, of Winona, and Dalvalano Devario-Demar Jackson, 25, of Rochester, Minn., and referred them to the county attorney for potential charges of first-degree burglary. According to the report, the reporting party told officers that they awoke to Martinez and Jackson in their residence on the 150 block of Mankato Avenue. Martinez was reportedly a past acquaintance of the reporting party. Martinez and Jackson stole a jar with $20 in loose change from the residence, according to the report. 

• At 12:04 p.m. a man reported that several fraudulent charges were made with his debit card after he lost his wallet on April 22 on the 1600 block of West Fifth Street. 

• At 12:15 p.m. a woman reported that several fraudulent charges were made with her debit card after she lost it on April 25 at or near Fleet Farm.

 

Winona County 

Tuesday, April 21 

• At 9:15 a.m. a man reported that tools with a value of about $1,905 were stolen from a construction site overnight on the 30000 block of Shortcut Road in Dakota. 

Wednesday, April 22

• At 10:53 a.m. deputies arrested Shane Russell Heikes, 40, of Winona, and referred him to the county attorney for potential charges of fifth-degree domestic assault and gross-misdemeanor interference with a 911 call after someone reported a domestic assault on the 23000 block of County Road 122. 

Friday, April 24

• At 11:55 a.m. a man reported that a Yamaha electric-start boat motor with a value of $3,500 to $4,000 was stolen on the 11000 block of County Road 116 in Altura at some point in the last three to four weeks. 

Saturday, April 25

• At 5:16 p.m. deputies arrested a juvenile male from St. Charles and referred him to the county attorney for a potential charge of gross-misdemeanor theft after he reportedly stole trail cameras with a combined value of about $700 in St. Charles. 

 

Minnesota State Patrol 

Monday, April 27

• At 11:51 a.m. a 79-year-old Winona man was taken to Gunderson Health System for the treatment of life-threatening injuries after a two-vehicle crash on Highway 61 at Pelzer Street. According to the report, the vehicle driven by the man was going eastbound on Highway 14 and another vehicle was traveling northbound on Highway 61 when the vehicles collided.
