Alma N. Keller, 90, of Winona, died Sunday, December 28, 2008, at Community Memorial Hospital, Winona. She was born in Askov, MN, on July 2, 1918, the daughter of Jacob A. and Ane M. (Nielsen) Nielsen.
Alma married Roland M. Keller in Sandstone, MN, on June 16, 1940; he preceded her in death on January 13, 1996. Alma was a dedicated homemaker, a wonderful mother to her children and grandchildren. She was the best cook in the world and a fine baker.
She is survived by her son, Lyle, of Peterson, MN, a daughter, Gail (John) Meier, Roseville, MN, grandchildren, Steven Meier, Burlingame, CA, and Carrie (Charles) Grafstrom, Shoreview, MN, brother-in-law, Howard (Alice) Keller, Winona, sister-in-law, Florence Ries, Shoreview, MN, and many nieces and nephews.
Alma was preceded in death by her parents, husband and ten brothers and sisters.
According to Alma’s wishes, there will be no formal services, rather private family entombment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Winona.
