Robert Arthur Heftman, 75, of Winona, died suddenly on December 23, 2014, at home.
Bob was born May 8, 1939, in Winona, to Clarence and Cassie Luebke. He graduated from Winona Senior High School. Bob married Mary Tuxen and together they had two sons. Mary passed away in 1997. Bob worked for many years in the plumbing, heating and ventilating industry, most recently at Schneider Heating and Air Conditioning. He was a part of many engineering jobs and was extremely well respected by his colleagues and customers. On October 10, 1998, Bob married Beverly Russell in Winona.
Bob enjoyed tinkering around the house and doing yard work, making sure his yard always looked immaculate. He also enjoyed traveling and going to the cities to visit his sister. When his children were growing up, trips to the Wisconsin Dells were frequent. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan and loved playing cards, especially 500. He also enjoyed playing checkers and Yahtzee. His sense of humor will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Bev; two sons, Steven (Kristi) Heftman and Scott (Deb) Heftman, both of Winona; five grandchildren; three step-sons, Brian Russell, of Winona, Scott (Kristi) Russell, of Lakeville, and Kent (Tina) Russell, of Winona; eight step-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary (Bob) Llewellyn, of Burnsville.
Bob was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary; his parents and one sister, Jane Schneider.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 27, 2014, at Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Goodview. Bob will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
Pallbearers will be Steven Heftman, Scott Heftman, Brian Russell, Scott Russell, Kent Russell and Mike Rivers.
