Jaysen “Jay” Vaughn, 39, of Caledonia and formerly of Winona, died suddenly on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, as the result of a motor-vehicle accident.
Jay was born November 18, 1977, in La Crosse, to Patrick and Donna (Wilkens) Vaughn. He was raised in Minnesota City and attended Winona Senior High School. Jay worked most recently for Wenonah Canoe and Biesanz Stone.
Jay was an avid outdoorsman, especially enjoying hunting and fishing. He also loved watching any Minnesota sports teams, NASCAR, playing bean bags and softball. Jay’s sons, Braden and Breckin, were he true pride and joy in life and he treasured every moment he spent with them.
He will be forever loved and missed by his two sons, Braden and Breckin Vaughn; his parents, Pat and Donna Vaughn; three brothers, Robby Vaughn, Troy (Mindy Decker) Vaughn and Shawn Vaughn; nieces and nephews, McKenzie, Austin, Jaylen, Harley and Ashten; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at Hoff Celebration of Life Center – Goodview with the Reverend William Kulas officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorials are preferred and will go to Jay’s sons.
