Gladys I. Vetsch, 91, of Winona, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, in Houston, Minn. Gladys was born on March 7, 1927, to Elvin and Emma (Ranzenberger) Schulze in Caledonia, Minn.

Gladys married Edward Vetsch on May 5, 1946, in Caledonia, Minn. They lived and farmed in Caledonia.

Gladys worked in various retail positions throughout the years. She enjoyed crocheting, travelling with her husband, Edward, and spending time with her family and friends.

Gladys belonged to the Disabled American Veterans and organized the Winona Area Widow and Widowers Group. She was a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Caledonia and then Goodview Trinity Evangelical Church in Goodview.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward; daughter, Lois Sauer; siblings, Lawrence, Marlin, Gerald and Evelyn.

Gladys is survived by her children, Roger, Dale (Rozann), Gordon (Cheryl), Scott (Carla), Joyce (James) Carpenter; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and many more relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018, from 4-7 p.m. at Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home.
Her funeral service will be on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at 10 a.m. with visitation starting at 9 a.m. at Goodview Trinity Evangelical Church. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Caledonia, Minn.

Memorials may be directed to American Legion Post #9 – Veterans Relief Fund.
