Lions will again hold Christmas dinner

(12/22/2010)

The 38th Annual Lions Club Christmas Dinner, sponsored once again by the Winona Noon Lions Club, will be held on Christmas Day at the First Congregational Church, 161 West Broadway, Winona. Serving will begin at noon. This dinner is intended for anyone who would otherwise be alone that day. No advance reservations necessary this year, if you can come to the church on your own (just show up - everyone is welcome). Enter the hall at the Johnson Street entrance (use the door to the left of the steps). A lift is available for anyone who has trouble with the steps inside.

If you need transportation call Yellow Cab at 452-3331 on Christmas morning between 10:30-11:00 a.m. The cab company will not take reservations, so please don’t call earlier. Tell the cab company that you are coming to the Lions Club Christmas Dinner. They will not charge you for the ride. The Lions Club will pay the bill. They will deliver you to the church between 11 a.m. and noon. The Lions Club will have volunteers to give you a ride when you are ready to go home.

Delivered meals (within city limits of Winona and Goodview) will require advance reservations. Please call for delivered meals only if you cannot possibly come to the church. Reservations for deliveries will be accepted through Wednesday, December 22. For delivery call Darrell Monson at 474-4747, 452-3299, or 429-3123.
