Men’s basketball

During free throws, players in marked lane spaces may enter the lane when the ball is released by the free thrower. The restrictions for the free thrower and players not in marked lane spaces remain in effect until the free throw touches the rim or backboard.

Teams may add or delete to their official rosters until January 20, 2017, by stopping in to the Park and Recreation office. Original rosters must be provided to Park and Recreation officials.

Volleyball

The volleyball manager meeting was held on December 6. Managers who did not attend should pick up the material at the Park and Recreation office. Check the roster to ensure it is accurate.

The women’s adult leagues will begin play on January 9 or 10, 2017. The men’s leagues begin on January 11, 2017. The women play on Monday and Tuesday nights while the men play on Wednesday nights. These matches are played in the evenings at the East Rec. Center and St. Stan’s gyms. There are 29 women’s teams and 18 men’s teams.

Volleyball officials should stop in and pick up your volleyball packets at the Park and Recreation office.

Only individuals listed on the official roster will be allowed to participate. Volleyball league official rosters need to be turned in by January 20, 2017, by 4:30 p.m. to the Park and Recreation office. Please do not turn them into the officials or gym supervisors. Teams will forfeit their games until the roster is turned in; those games will be recorded as losses. Everything on the roster must be completely filled in, even if the person is a substitute. Original rosters must be provided to Park and Recreation officials.
