A Winona man faces additional theft-related charges after officers allegedly found in his residence items that had been reported stolen. The Winona County Attorney’s Office filed charges of receiving stolen property against Michael David Kronebusch, 41.
On June 22, an adult male reported that someone entered his garage on the 400 block of West 11th Street and stole multiple cases and rounds of ammunition with a total value of $13,845. Officers executed a search warrant at Kronebusch’s residence on July 12. In his house, officers reportedly found ammunition and gun magazines with a value of over $1,000 that matched the description of the stolen items.
Kronebusch already faces additional charges of burglary and possession of stolen property stemming from that search warrant after officers allegedly found items in his residence that had been reported stolen from a garage on Wilson Street. According to the criminal complaint, officers asked Kronebusch “… what the purpose was for him to remove the ammunition from the victim’s garage. [Kronebusch] stated, ‘I’ll tell you. To be honest, I don’t know what the purpose was.’”
