Winona State University’s Abby Bohanski has been named to the 2017 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Women’s Soccer Team, announced on Thursday to recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
District 7 of the NCAA Division II All-District Team included players from the Great American Conference, Mid-America Athletic Conference and the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).
Bohanski is now eligible for CoSIDA Academic All-America voting with the winners to be announced in December.
The Plover, Wis., native is an elementary education major with a 4.0 cumulative GPA at Winona State.
Bohanski led the Warriors in every offensive category this season. The junior forward ranked fourth in the NSIC in points (22), fifth in goals (8) and sixth in assists (6).
She is a three-time NSIC All-Conference recipient, including Second Team honors this year for the second time in her career.
Bohanski also earned NSIC All-Academic recognition in 2016.
