Casting call: Winona Health Volunteers to present USO Salute to the Troops

The Winona Health Volunteers invite you to be a part of their USO Salute to the Troops show. Come meet the director, Jim Vrchota, and learn about the show at an open casting call on Tuesday, December 5, at the American Legion, 302 Sarnia Street, Winona, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Auditions will be held on December 12 and 13 at the American Legion from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Four performances will be held from April 12 through April 14.

USO Salute to the Troops takes audiences back to the days of Bob Hope’s USO variety shows with singing, dancing and comedy skits. Actors and singers are needed to play Bob Hope, the Andrews Sisters, Frank Sinatra, Lucille Ball and a wide variety of roles made famous in USO shows from World War II, Korea and Vietnam.

The show is a fundraiser for the Winona Health Volunteers, which will use the proceeds for health care scholarships and other projects to benefit the patients and residents of Winona Health.
