Winona Pints and Policy announces June doubleheader

Resilient local future
Tuesday, June 19, 7 p.m.

This event, co-hosted by the Jefferson Center, will focus on showcasing how individuals and small groups across Winona County are taking on sustainability and local energy efforts, and providing ways for anyone to get plugged in or take on their own projects. Guests will include the Winona Climate Action Network, GreenCorps for Winona County, the area Clean Energy Resource Team, and the city of Winona.

Future of Winona’s parks and outdoor spaces
Wednesday, June 20, 5:30 p.m.

Hear how the city of Winona is revitalizing its park and recreation planning and programs, and have a chance to talk in small groups about what the city should be focusing on, from parks to trails to other public spaces. Guests will be the city of Winona Park and Recreation Department, along with consultants from the design firm ISG.

Both events, as always, are free and will be held at Ed’s No Name Bar at 252 East Third Street in downtown Winona. Come a half-hour early for happy hour and social time. On June 20, stick around for Nerd Nite at 8:30 p.m.!

Pints and Policy is pleased to welcome people of all (or no) political affiliations to join in conversations about issues that matter and connect directly with decision-makers. Previous events in the living room-style public policy series have featured Winona’s downtown, arts and culture, the public schools, and the state Legislature.
