A 47-year-old man was injured after a semi-truck collided with his vehicle in Buffalo County late last week.

At 5:57 p.m. on Friday, January 4, deputies responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision involving a car and a semi-truck near the intersection of Highway 35 and County Highway P in the town of Buffalo.

According to the report, a 2014 Suburban driven by a 47-year-old Eau Claire man was leaving the Hillside Fish House and entering Highway 35, when the driver reportedly failed to yield the right of way and was struck on the driver’s side of his vehicle by a 2017 Peterbilt truck traveling north on Highway 35.

The driver of the Suburban required extrication and was subsequently transported by Winona Ambulance to a landing zone, where he was then transported to Gundersen Health Systems in La Crosse, Wis., by Gundersen Air for the treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
