Chippewa Falls man arrested on meth charges

A 28-year-old man was arrested on multiple charges after officers reportedly located drugs in his vehicle during a routine traffic stop on January 4 in Arcadia.

Steven R. Olson, 28, of Chippewa Falls, Wis., was arrested and referred to the district attorney for potential charges of violating probation, bail jumping, possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According the Arcadia Police Department, on January 4 at 9:54 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle driven by Olson for a traffic violation. During the stop, assistance was requested from the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department and K-9 Leo, and K-9 Leo reportedly alerted officers to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.

In a search of Olson’s vehicle, approximately six grams of suspected methamphetamine, 9.4 grams of suspected marijuana and other drug paraphernalia were reportedly located and Olson was subsequently arrested.
