The University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardeners of Winona County is hosting the 18th annual Gardeners’ Day program on Saturday, March 9. The event will be held at Winona State University in Kryzsko Commons East Hall, located at 250 West Howard Street in Winona. The event runs from 8:30 a.m. until 2:45 p.m.
The program includes presentations on perennial selection (Mike Heger of Ambergate Gardens), moon gardens (Master Gardener Brenda Pohlman), gardening with native plants (Kaitlyn O’Connor, Prairie Moon Nursery), gardening in small spaces (Master Gardener Susy Olsen), and seed preservation (Kathryn Gilbery, Seed Saver’s Exchange).
There will be breaks between the sessions and a lunch break where you will be able to shop at vendor tables and bid on silent auction items.
The registration cost is $30 per person and includes lunch, refreshments and handouts. Walk-in attendees are welcome, though lunch is only guaranteed if you pre-register by February 28, 2019.
