Winona State University (WSU) will host the WSU Symphonic Wind Ensemble Children’s Concert at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, on the Vivian Fusillo Main Stage in the DuFresne Performing Arts Center.
The concert will feature guest musicians from Cotter, St. Stanislaus and Lewiston-Altura playing mini solos with the WSU Band.
The concert will also feature guest artist Hanna-Mari Lehtonen, a Finnish composer, conductor and music entrepreneur, and include a world-premiere performance of Lehtonen’s “Tango Corazon,” a concerto for solo trombone that will feature ninth-grade trombonist Allison French.
The event is free and open to the public.
