Sarah Lallaman, DO
“Rumor has it…but get the facts,” is a free health talk and dinner for moms and their tween or young teen daughters. The event will be on Wednesday, April 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Women’s Health clinic on the third floor of Winona Health clinic, 855 Mankato Avenue in Winona.
Girls in their tween and young teenage years may have many questions about physical changes, what they mean and whether they’re normal. Often things heard or found online are not reliable. This event will help put rumors to rest and provide the right information to navigate through the changes with more confidence.
Pediatric and adolescent medicine physician Sarah Lallaman, DO, will answer attendees’ questions and share answers to some frequently asked questions she hears in her practice. Moms will have the opportunity to speak to Katie Duerr, CNM, while the girls get “girl time” and mothers can ask concerns or questions they have, as well. This is an opportunity for moms and daughters to get important information and enjoy an evening together.
The information provided on this evening may be most appropriate for girls age eight to 12, but another event is being planned to address common concerns for the older teens.
The event is free, but seating is limited. RSVP by Monday, April 1, online at winonahealth.org/inspire or call 507-457-7696.
