Pedaling to Nichols Mound

Saturday, July 20, 9-10 a.m.

Hop on your bike and join Steve for a ride on the Great River State Trail (GRST) to Nichols Mound overlook. Attendees will meet at the Trempealeau GRST parking lot on Highway 35. No trail passes are necessary for this short, leisurely ride.

Spear and arrowhead identification

Saturday, July 20, 3-4 p.m.

Drop in to the Nature Center and learn to identify various spear and arrowhead replicas using techniques archaeologists use in the field.

Beneath your feet

Saturday, July 20, 7 p.m.

Join archaeologists Robert “Ernie” Boszhardt and Danielle Benden for a journey back in time. Learn about the ancient cultures that made their home in Trempealeau and what is now Perrot State Park.

All park programs are free and meet at the Nature Center unless an alternate location is specifically listed. State park vehicle admission sticker is required.
