Wesley United Methodist Church is pleased to be dedicating new communion pieces fashioned by artist Mickey Maslowski of Maslowski Pottery in Ettrick on Sunday, August 4, at the 10 a.m. service, before the first communion is served.
In the 1990s, Maslowski designed a communion set for Central’s congregation. These lovely new pieces are designed to complement the older set, which needed additions because of the new gluten-free option and the effects of use and aging on the older pottery. Maslowski commented that it has been “humbling to have just been the hands that made them. It’s like watching your child grow up to be someone who heals people or makes the world more like what it was created to be.”
