At the group’s annual picnic at Dan and Ginny Motl’s home, the Winona Noon Lions named Kevin Spalding the Lion of the Year. Spalding has been a member of the Noon Lions since February 2007 and has been a constant volunteer for virtually every project since.
Due to an accident years ago, Spalding has some limited mobility; however, that has not stopped him from giving his all whenever possible. Spalding serves on the Noon Lions Board of Directors and is especially involved in the Lions’ broom sales and eyeglass collection programs. At Christmas time, he helps pack food baskets for families in need and serves Christmas dinner for those that are alone over the holidays. In addition to his Lions activities, Spalding volunteers his time as a bingo caller at senior living facilities.
The Noon Lions are proud to have Spalding as a member, and wish him even more success in the future. When you see him out in public, be sure to congratulate him on this prestigious award!
