Whitewater State Park program schedule

Centennial event: Lovebirds Candlelight Owl Prowl

Saturday, February 16, 6-8 p.m.

Hey Mom and Dad, looking for a romantic evening? Leave the kids at home and join us for a candlelit stroll as part of the Whitewater State Park Centennial Anniversary. Attendees will learn about the natural history of native owls, including their mating calls, while sipping hot chocolate and eating strawberries by the fire of a wood stove. Then attendees will go out and practice the calls along the candlelit trails. Live owls will be on exhibit in the visitor center. Registration is required by February 13. To sign up, email sara.holger@state.mn.us or call 507-312-2308.

To check on program cancellations due to poor weather conditions, call the park at 507-312-2300 or check the online state park event calendar.

If you need an accommodation, please contact Sara at sara.holger@state.mn.us or 507-312-2300 two weeks prior to the event.
